 Roof Mounted Exhaust Fan - SMR Axial

Description

A range of powerful industrial roof mounted fans based on an integral impeller and internal rotor motor design. With specially designed bellmouth inlet and mounting plate, the roof exhaust fan is lightweight and ensures an excellent performance to sound level ratio.

The SMR Roof mounted exhaust fan Model Sceptre 250 to 710 cowl and roof mounting plate are moulded from specially formulated polymeric materials, which are high impact resistant and provide a rigid profile against strong winds. 800 and 1000 moulded from fibreglass. They are both resistant to UV light. Colour BS10A07. Alternative colours available on request.

The SMR roof mount exhaust fan is suitable for flat or inclined roofs (max. angle 30°), designed for either kerb or purlin box mounting. The Sceptre range roof mounted exhaust fan is available in eleven models with extract performance ranging from 0.243m³/s up to 8.57m³/ (875m³/h to 30857m³/h), with pressure characteristics of up 250 Pa.

Motor / Impellers

All sizes of our roof exhaust fans are supplied with cast aluminium impellers, ensuring performance when working against outdoor conditions and abrasive airflow. Intake Form B reverse airflow impellers are available to order for sizes 250 to 630 dia. Back-draught shutters should not be used when a Form B impeller is required.

Internal rotor motors are specifically designed and styled for SMR Sceptre range of roof mounted exhaust fans. Ball bearings are greased for life. Rotors are dynamically balanced to ISO 1940. 250-710 motors are protected to IP65, sizes 800 and 1000 to IP55, against dust and moisture complying with BS EN 60529: 1992. SMR roof exhaust fans have ribbed aluminium body castings for efficient cooling. Motor insulation is Class 'F' (from -40°C to + 70°C).

Terminal Box
Sceptre range of roof mounted exhaust fan sizes 250-710 are to IP65, 800 and 1000 are fitted with an IP65 isolator as standard. Protected against dust and water jets from any angle allowing outside applications.

Electrical

Single phase 220-240V 50Hz. Capacitor start and run. Three phase 380-415V 50Hz. An IP65 terminal box is supplied with most models with 20mm and PGII entry, SMR roof exhaust fan sizes 800 and 1000 have a terminal box to IP55. All motors are fitted with Standard Thermal Overload Protection (S.T.O.P.) which should be wired into all controller circuits and into starter contactors. Most models of the roof mounted exhaust fans are available with 4 and 6 pole motors.
